I have been to this Safeway multiple times. I am always impressed with how neat the store is. Produce section very well stocked. Employees that I've encountered are all nice and helpful. Next time I'm in town I will be back here!
I love shopping at this Safeway from time to time. It's almost away from civilization and it hardly gets busy. At least every time that I shop there it's never busy, but that will most likely change during the holidays months.
I didn't go into this store myself, but I'm relaying what my wife experienced. We were nearby on the Island and needed to get a few items, so we stopped here. While she shopped, I walked our Beast outside. She reported that the store was clean, neat and organized. The produce section was well stocked. There were sufficient checkers and all three appeared to be friendly and engaging. I've been to the larger store at Southshore before and found it to be very dysfunctional and unappealing. Especially their Deli Department on $5 Chicken Fridays.

This is my favorite Safeway in Alameda. It's the safest and cleanest. The staff are friendly and quick to help when needed. They have 4 self checkout areas and a few cashiers. The parking lot is well lit and plenty of parking. I love how I can quickly pop in and get what I need and leave. The bakery items are not as plentiful as other Safeway's in Alameda but it's ok. They have bread and cakes available.
I was Rolling Thru Harbor Bay Isle and decided to go to This Safeway for $5 Dollar Fridays!! I parked in their Parking Lot and Rolled in to their Deli Section !!! Their had a $5 Dollar Fried Chicken Meal . So I ordered 1 and the Deli Lady packed one up for me !!!! I paid by Credit Card and Rolled out. Service was Friendly and Efficient!! The Chicken was Freshly Fried and was Delicious!! This Safeway is a Baller On A Budget Approved Establishment!!!!
